Date of Service: 5/2/11 Time Spent: 3 hours Total Time: 12 hours
Actions performed: started looking over a PowerPoint on shoulders my mentor made and studied the bones, ligaments, and joints that make up the shoulder.
Next action: i will continue to study the shoulder tomorrow(5/3/11).
How am i doing? I looked at different pictures of all the joints and bones in the shoulder including the clavicle that rests on the front of the chest connecting to the rib cage and the acromion. My mentor talked to me about the clavicle and how it can break and where it usually breaks. she showed me different situations on which the clavicle could break by looking at pictures. She showed me different tests to find out what the injury is such as the piano key test which is pushing lightly on the top of the clavicle and seeing if it falls down more than it should.
